Everything you need to know about shipping with Rhéo's

Rhéo Thompson Candies has five different options depending on your destination.

Holiday Ordering Timelines

We recommend placing your orders by the following dates to help ensure timely arrival of your gifts and treats for the holiday season. We will continue to ship orders up until December 22nd and then resume again on December 29th.

Ontario Orders - December 16th, 2025
Remote Regions of Ontario - December 8th, 2025
Canada-wide Orders - December 8th, 2025
US Orders - December 1st, 2025

Instore Pickup

Each business has their own way of offering Pickup Orders. Here’s what we’re doing at Rhéo Thompson Candies.

Available Monday through Saturday 9 am to 5:30 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm.

STEP 1: PLACE YOUR ORDER

Placing your order can be done online, over the phone or via e-mail. We do ask for 24 hours notice so our team can pack your order and prepare any gift items you may need. 

At checkout, choose the Pickup option and select the date you will be coming for your order. We’ll take it from there!

STEP 2: PROCESSING

Your order will be packed (and made if not currently ready) by one of our team. Once they have finished getting it ready for you, you’ll receive an email from us indicating your order is complete. Sometimes these can end up in your junk mail so please double check if you haven’t received yours by your pickup date. Phone orders will not receive confirmation emails and should arrive at the time discussed when ordering.

STEP 3: ORDER COMPLETE

Once you receive your final confirmation email stating your order is ready for pickup, you are welcome to come at any point during our hours of operation.

Stratford Deliveries

Stratford Deliveries can be placed online, by calliing 1-888-271-6910, or by emailing info@rheothompson.com.

We have our own delivery vehicle for orders within Stratford city limits. Orders are delivered on the next business day (Monday through Friday) and are charged $10.00 for all orders independent of shipping weight. We can deliver within Stratford City limits year-round regardless of temperature.

Ontario Shipping

Ontario orders are generally shipped using CanPar unless being sent to an apartment building, condo, or P.O. Box. These orders are sent via Canada Post to ensure access to these specialized mailrooms.

Ontario orders can take from 3 to 10 busienss days for delivery. Please note that orders can be delayed due to hot weather and seasonal volume. We recommend that if you require delivery within a specific timeframe, that you contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Canadian Shipping Outside Ontario

All Canadian Orders outside of Ontario are shipped using CanPar.

Canadian orders can take from 3 to 15 days for delivery. Please note that orders can be delayed or not available during the spring and summer due to hot weather.

US Shipping

US orders are shipped via FedEx. Due to the new tariff and duty regulations, we require 2 weeks in order to fulfill US orders.

US ordering is not available in warmer temperatures.

Easter and Christmas Seasonal Delivery

During the Easter and Christmas seasons, order delivery outside of Stratford city limits may take up to seven business days to process. It is important that you allow that much time in advance when ordering for gifts.

CanPar Delivery and Returns

CanPar delivers to residential and business addresses. In the case of PO Boxes, Apartments or secured entrance residential addresses, we will ship your order with Canada Post through their Priority Service. If no one is available to receive the delivery, CanPar is instructed to leave your parcel on your front porch.

CanPar returns parcels to us for a number of reasons – consignee moved, incorrect address, parcel refused (hard to believe anyone would refuse a parcel from Rhéo Thompson Candies!), unable to locate the address, etc.. Returns only happen after multiple attempts to deliver. If a parcel is returned to us, we cannot accept returns of food items for health and safety reasons. We will contact the sender with the option to have the parcel sent to an alternate address and the standard shipping charge will be required again.

Shipping Weights

Please note that shipping weights take into account product packaging.

Shipping parcels weighing over 20 lbs. or addresses in remote locations may incur additional charges.

During the warm summer months (May to September) we recommend purchasing an insulated bag with a gel freezer pack (both reusable). This will add $12.00 to the current shipping charges.

Order Changes

If you have found that there is a mistake with the order that you placed and would like to change or cancel part of your order, please feel free to give us a call at 1-888-271-6910. 

We are able to accommodate most changes as long as your order has not already been processed. 

Please note that changes at your request are subject to a 5% processing fee. We recommend carefully reviewing your order before submitting.
